What's In My Purse: Spring Edition

From Left to Right: EOS mint lip balm, coconut lip balm, MAC's "Creme Cup" lipstick, Bath & Body Works Mentha Lip Tint in "Magenta Mint", MAC's Studio Fix powder foundation (NC 43)

You know that person that literally carries their life around in their bag/purse...well I have no shame in admitting that person is indeed me. I always have this fear of not being prepared for something so I always try and make sure I have enough things with me "just in case"; in my opinion it's always better to be OVER-prepared than under-prepared.

Pictured: Wallet- Tory Burch (old), Big Sunglasses- Marc Jacobs, Wayfarers- Ray-Ban, Iphone 5 (gold case from ebay), and of course my car/house keys

Speaking of essentials, I think it is so important to have a good, durable wallet. I can not begin to tell you the number of cheap wallets I purchased in the past only to throw them away weeks later because they would just not hold up. I splurged on this Tory Burch wallet almost 2 years ago and it has been SO durable I just can't believe it- I've literally accidentally dropped it several times. It's only just now starting to show signs of wear near the zipper and I will definitely continue to purchase her accessory products.

As for sunglasses, my two favorites are my round-shaped Marc Jacobs ones along with the classic Ray-ban Wayfarers. I used to keep all of my sunglasses in my car console but they would end up breaking so now I make sure to just keep them in my purse so there's no hassle. My iphone 5 has definitely exceeded my expectations (which I received as a bday gift last year) and I actually used to be team android. I can honestly say after having an iPhone for over a year now that I will NEVER buy anything other than an apple phone lol. This gorgeous phone case was only $4 from ebay (I know) and I get so many compliments on it when I'm out and about.

Pictured: Lauren Conrad's "Style" book, financial calculator, thin mints, orbit gum, and my Juicy Couture notepad.

The last couple of items I make sure to keep in my purse are snacks, a notepad, and a good book. LC's "Style" book (review coming soon) is so informative and I love how down to earth and realistic she is while also giving away some of her own fashion tips and tricks. I always keep a book or magazine on hand in case I have to wait for an appointment or get bored while I'm somewhere.

I think I am so used to doing finance calculations from college that I just carry around this calculator just because...but hey, you never know when you'll need to do on-the-spot calculations, right? I've had this Juicy Couture journal/notepad for about three years and it has held up so well. I typically use it as a planner and write all of my "to-do's" for the day (and then tear out the page once I'm done with both sides)! I already have several apps on my phone to keep these lists but there is just something so satisfying about crossing off an achievement/task by hand. Omg...and these thin mints are going to be the DEATH of me! I can NOT stop eating them haha!
